Do cervical cysts go away on their own?

Cervical cysts are caused by inflammatory stimulation and are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, most of which do not disappear naturally. Cervical cysts, also known as cervical nuchal cysts, or “nanocysts”, are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, as are cervical erosion and cervical polyps. The reason for the formation of nasal cysts is similar to acne on the face, so there is no need to worry too much. Most of the patients with cervical cysts have no clinical symptoms and develop very slowly, they are found by chance during physical examination and do not need special treatment; only when combined with severe cervicitis, active treatment is needed. Most cervical cysts do not disappear on their own after formation; it is caused by long-term stimulation with inflammation. Cysts are usually small and scattered, protruding from the surface of the cervix. Small ones are only as big as a small grain of rice, while large ones can be as big as a grain of corn and are greenish-white in color and may be accompanied by erosion, but they are also common in the cervix with a smooth surface. Therefore, when cysts do not cause other symptoms, they can be observed regularly and TCT can be performed; if they are combined with inflammation, they can be treated with anti-infection treatment; physical treatment, such as microwave, laser, freezing, etc., can also be used. Therefore, cervical cysts are usually asymptomatic and develop very slowly and do not disappear on their own. They can be observed and not treated when they are asymptomatic. For women with severe cervicitis, local treatment can be given.
