Can a normal rheumatology panel rule out vasculitis?

Normal rheumatology triple test cannot rule out vasculitis. Rheumatism triple test includes anti-streptococcal hemolysin O, rheumatoid factor and C-reactive protein, but in some hospitals, rheumatism triple test is rheumatoid factor, blood sedimentation and C-reactive protein. Vasculitis is an autoimmune disease that mainly involves the walls of blood vessels, and the rheumatism triple test can provide clinical clues for the diagnosis of the disease, but the diagnosis of vasculitis should be combined with the patient’s medical history, physical signs, symptoms, and other aspects of the analysis. Therefore, a normal rheumatology triple test cannot completely exclude vasculitis, and patients still need to further improve tissue biopsy, angiography, CT, autoantibody spectrum, nuclear magnetic, echocardiography and needle reaction and other auxiliary tests in order to make a clear diagnosis. Rheumatology test report should be interpreted by a professional physician, and it is recommended that patients go to the rheumatology and immunology department of a regular hospital for detailed counseling and follow the doctor’s instructions for diagnosis and treatment.
