Sudden death – what are the common causes?

With the acceleration of social development, the increase of work pressure and the accumulation of bad habits, the incidence of sudden death seems to be increasing. Why does sudden death occur? What are the common causes of sudden death? According to years of theory and clinical practice, the common clinical causes of sudden death are summarized as follows: 1, heart disease: for example, coronary heart disease is the most common cause of sudden death, accounting for about 80%. Others, such as pulmonary heart disease in the elderly, diabetic cardiomyopathy, etc., are also quite a few. Sudden death from coronary artery disease is mostly due to the instability of coronary plaque, or under the action of certain triggers such as: excessive tension, anger, smoking, drinking, etc., coronary artery instability, spasm, rupture, thrombosis caused by coronary artery momentary Doucet, myocardial ischemic necrosis, followed by myocardial electrical activity disorders. Ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation and death occur. 2, hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage: hypertension for too long can lead to the formation of cerebral blood vessels hemangioma. When the blood pressure suddenly rises sharply under certain circumstances and breaks the pressure limit of the cerebral blood vessels, the angioma ruptures and cerebral hemorrhage occurs. When the hemorrhage compresses the cardiovascular center or respiratory center of the brain, it can cause sudden death to occur. 3, aortic coarctation: can have long-term hypertension, aortic atherosclerosis caused. The onset is sudden and the mortality rate is as high as 80-90%. 4.Pulmonary embolism: such as amniotic fluid embolism after the birth of a pregnant woman. There are also air embolism, cancer embolism, etc. 5, acute pancreatitis: when there is gallstone disease, hypertriglyceridemia, and at the same time like a lot of alcohol, overeating patients have acute necrotizing pancreatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and other manifestations, if not timely consultation, can cause shock, rapid multi-organ failure and death. 6, electrolyte disorders: mainly serious hypokalemia, can quickly appear ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation and sudden death. Or severe hyperkalemia, the heart can appear bradycardia, atrioventricular block, cardiac arrest and death. 7, anaphylaxis: shock caused by allergy to various substances, also often cause sudden death. In particular: antibiotics such as penicillin, streptomycin; blood, protein and other blood products application is also prone to occur, need to be prevented in advance. 8, diabetic ketoacidosis, coma: not found in time, also prone to sudden death situation. 9, a variety of endocrine crisis: such as thyroid crisis, cortisol crisis and other diseases, can also lead to sudden death. 10, a variety of drugs acute mass poisoning: such as sedative drugs, pesticides, drug use and other cases. Therefore, to prevent the above-mentioned possible situations, we should seek early diagnosis, early detection, and early treatment if there is slight discomfort. The incidence of sudden death will be greatly reduced.
