What are the clinical subtypes of breast cancer?

Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women and many studies have been done on this disease. For example, the pathological staging of breast cancer includes: intraductal carcinoma, invasive ductal carcinoma, invasive lobular carcinoma, mucinous carcinoma, etc.; the molecular staging of breast cancer includes: luminal A, luminal B, Her-2 positive, triple negative, etc. The molecular staging of breast cancer includes luminal A, luminal B, Her-2 positive, triple negative, etc. These staging is important for guiding treatment and prognosis. There is no clear description or report on clinical staging of breast cancer in the literature. The main common presentation of breast cancer is a painless lump in the breast, which can be small and gradually increasing in size with a hard texture. Ultrasound and mammography show the malignant mass imaging features of the breast. Another presentation of breast cancer is the presence of a large lump in the breast at the time of presentation, which is not well defined and is characterized by a hard texture. Initially, when the lump is not too hard, it is often described as a thick lump or a thick mass. During the consultation, the doctor will ask, “How long has the lump been there, and have you seen a doctor? I have been to several hospitals for several years, but they all say it is breast enlargement”. Ultrasound examination shows an irregular hypoechoic mass on palpation, with unclear borders and dotted strong echogenicity. In the early stage of the lesion, the ultrasound only shows local structural disorder without clear mass echogenicity. Mammography can show the mass, but it can also show only localized hyperdensity or structural disorder, often accompanied by fine calcification points. The pathological diagnosis is often intraductal carcinoma with early infiltration. The authors believe that breast cancer can be classified into two types based on these two presentations: tumor type, and hyperplasia type. Clinical staging of breast cancer can improve the understanding of clinical manifestations of breast cancer and reduce misdiagnosis of breast cancer. Other implications need to be further observed and studied.
