Vascular disease treatment

Treatment of vascular diseases Classification of vascular diseases: hemangioma, vascular malformation (vascular malformation lymphatic malformation). Wang Shikun, Department of Oncology, Guilin Women’s and Children’s Hospital Hemangioma: It is a tumor or tumor-like disease with abnormal proliferation and slowed degeneration of vascular endothelial cells. They mostly occur after bleeding, are red in color, and grow rapidly within 1 year of age, and tend to occur in the head and neck, and extremities. Because most of them are found on the surface of the body, they seriously affect aesthetics, personality and self-confidence. The incidence of pediatric hemangioma is high, 6-12% in newborns, stable and gradually fading around the age of 1 year, with the majority fading at the age of 5-6 years. Vascular malformation: It is the result of progressive slow expansion of the vascular structure without value-added and degeneration of the vascular endothelium. It is present before birth and grows slowly after birth, with symptoms evident mostly at the age of 3-5 years, with a light blue color, mostly in the head, neck and extremities. Complications: ulcers, visual impairment, respiratory distress, hearing impairment, spontaneous bleeding, congestive heart failure, bone malformation K-M syndrome, K-T syndrome. Treatment purpose: to make the hemangioma body not to grow or disappear, some hemangioma red skin need to be treated with laser. Indications for drug treatment: superficial with weight less than 6 kg, in special areas such as perineum, face, in the ear canal, in the nasal cavity, etc., in the proliferative phase or ulcerated blood. Indications for interventional treatment: large tumors in the proliferative phase. Interventional sclerotherapy: Using catheter guidewire to access from femoral artery, super-select to hemangioma body, inject sclerosing agent to make the tumor necrosis and absorption, shrink and achieve the purpose of cure; it has the characteristics of small side effects, small trauma, fast recovery and no scarring.
