Surgery is the basic treatment for endometriosis. It is suitable for patients with endometriosis who present with pelvic masses, infertility or pelvic pain that has not been treated with medication. Surgical treatment can be performed by removing the lesion, eliminating the ovarian chocolate cyst, separating the adhesions, reconstructing the normal pelvic anatomy and restoring the pelvic environment, together with effective postoperative medication. The following objectives can be achieved: 1) to reduce and control pain; 2) to reduce or remove the lesion; 3) to restore normal anatomy; 4) to treat and promote fertility; 5) to prevent and reduce recurrence.
