There is no necessary connection between itchy nose and cancer. In general, itchy nose is mostly caused by infectious diseases, such as cold and rhinitis, and cancer is unlikely. Malignant tumors of the nasal cavity and sinuses usually manifest as progressive nasal congestion, runny nose, recurrent nosebleeds, impaired sense of smell, and compression of adjacent organs, such as loss of vision, double vision, and headache. The itchy nose is mostly seen clinically in allergic rhinitis, as well as acute and chronic nasal vestibulitis, which is mostly caused by repeated picking and digging of the nose and other maladies, resulting in damage to the nasal vestibular mucosa. If the patient’s nose is itchy all the time, it is recommended to visit the ENT department of a regular hospital in time to do rhinoscopy, nasal CT and other examinations to clarify the specific diagnosis. In addition, it is recommended that patients with frequently itchy nose should not excessively dig or pick their nose to avoid causing damage to the nasal mucosa, and should usually eat a light diet with easily digestible food and avoid spicy and stimulating, oily food.
