I. General information
We treated 50 patients, all of them were outpatients and home bed patients of our hospital. Among them, 20 cases were male and 30 cases were female. The oldest age was 76 years old and the youngest was 20 years old. The longest duration of disease was 30 years and the shortest was 2 years. There were 20 cases of joint deformation.
II. Diagnostic criteria
According to the revised criteria of American Rheumatism Association in 1987
1.Morning stiffness for at least 1 hour, lasting for 6 weeks.
2. Swelling of three or more joints lasting for 6 weeks.
3. Persistent swelling of the metacarpophalangeal or distal interphalangeal joints of the wrist for 6 weeks or more.
4.Symmetrical joint swelling.
5. Radiographs of the fingers with typical rheumatoid arthritis changes and must include erosion or bone decalcification.
6.Rheumatoid nodules.
7. Positive rheumatoid factor.
Treatment method
