Prevention and treatment of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis after 40 cases of orthopedic surgery (Health Essentials)

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the prevention and treatment of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis after orthopedic surgery. Methods: To review and analyze the clinical data of 40 patients with lower extremity deep vein thrombosis after orthopedic surgery from January 2009 to December 2010 in our hospital. Results:After the above treatment, all the clinical indicators and vital signs of the 40 patients in this group returned to normal, and no serious complications such as lower limb ulceration, necrosis and pulmonary embolism occurred. All patients were discharged from the hospital. Conclusion: Due to the operation time, anesthesia, prolonged postoperative bed rest and continuous bone traction with peripheral venous diastasis, fracture patients are prone to form lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, therefore, taking effective preventive measures, early functional exercise and timely use of medication is the key to prevent DVT and complications.
