Traction treatment of femur fracture: I. Suspension skin traction method, applicable to children under 3-4 years old, the child’s lower extremities are tractioned with skin, and both legs are suspended vertically upward at the same time, with the weight of the child’s buttocks slightly off the bed. Second, the horizontal skin traction method, applicable to children aged 5-8 years, with adhesive tape on the inner and outer side of the affected limbs, wrapped with spiral bandage, traction weight of about 2-3 kg. Third, the bone traction method, applicable to patients aged 8-12 years, with a traction weight of 3-4 kg. For traction treatment of adult femoral stem fractures, the affected limb is placed on a Thomas frame with a subframe or on a Brown frame to facilitate knee movement and control of distal rotation.
