How long does it take to recover from a hamstring injury?

Injury to the tendon, if the injury is not serious 1 month can be basic recovery, if the injury is more serious, at least 6 weeks of time. Tendon injury depends on the extent of the injury and the cause, if it is a local contusion caused by closed tendon injury, there will be obvious local swelling, bruising, pressure pain, limited flexion and extension activities, this case can do ice, fixed with a splint for 1 month, oral tendon relaxation and blood circulation drugs. If it is an open injury, such as a knife cut, this case needs to go to the hospital orthopedic surgery suture, first of all to clean the wound, suture the injured tendon, and then use a plaster fixed for 1 month, 1 month later the tendon can basically heal, remove the plaster and then do functional exercise, exercise about 2 weeks can be completely back to normal. So injured tendons need more rest, while more calcium, vitamins, protein and other nutrients, recovery period try not to do strenuous exercise, so as not to aggravate the condition.
