What causes ischemic necrosis of the femoral head?

There are many causes of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, the three most common of which are: 1) high doses of hormones (glucocorticoids), 2) chronic heavy alcohol consumption (alcoholism), and 3) hip trauma (femoral neck fracture or hip dislocation). In addition to the above three factors, there are other causes of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head: 4, blood diseases (leukemia, lymphoma), radiation therapy, sickle cell disease, primary osteonecrosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, cytotoxic therapy, renal failure, hemophilia, organ transplantation (application of hormones or other immunosuppressive agents), etc. 5. There are also some rare disorders that can cause ischemic necrosis of the femoral head: decompressive osteonecrosis (caisson disease), Cushing’s disease, Gaucher’s disease, pregnancy/oral contraceptives, polyarteritis, pancreatitis thalamic tumor, gout/hyperuricemia, carbon tetrachloride poisoning, hyperparathyroidism, hyperlipidemia/hyperproteinemia. hyperlipidemia/hyperproteinemia, veno-occlusive disease, scalding, etc.
