The pee in the abdomen is very strong, to the toilet but not a drop can not come out, after hemorrhoid surgery, more than once, I wonder, the doctor that cut, is not the wrong place? It’s really not that difficult to distinguish between the front and the back! So why is it that after hemorrhoid surgery, you can’t pee? In fact, because of hemorrhoid surgery, some patients have a “urinary disorder”. Don’t worry, this is a common complication that may be related to anesthesia, surgical stimulation, patient psychology, age and physical fitness. What should I do if this happens? Why does dysuria still occur? Dysuria is a common complication after clinical surgery, usually occurring within 6h after surgery or after the first urination, mainly when the patient is unable to urinate on his own or has poor urination after surgery, making the urine stay in the bladder too much. The causes of urinary disorders in patients after hemorrhoid surgery are mainly manifested in the following aspects: Anesthesia influence: Sacral tube anesthesia may cause the patient’s bladder nerves to become dysregulated, when the bladder muscle contraction is weak and easily induces urinary disorders. Surgical stimulation: Due to excessive squeezing or pulling of the patient’s wound surrounding tissue by the surgical operator, or the patient’s postoperative wound anal pain, anal sphincter spasm, etc. may induce micturition disorder. Psychological factors: Some patients may be afraid to urinate because they are not used to bedside urination, or they are afraid of wetting the dressing, and the unfamiliar environment makes the patient’s urethral sphincter and anus unable to relax, which may induce urination disorder. Other factors: old and weak, trauma dressing pressure and patients with chronic prostate enlargement are also prone to urination disorders due to weakness of bladder sphincter contraction. What should I do if I encounter urinary disorders? Guide patients to urinate: Within 6 hours after the completion of hemorrhoid surgery, nursing staff should guide patients to urinate and give them the necessary psychological care according to their recovery, eliminate their anxiety and tension, caution patients not to be afraid of surgical wound infection, eliminate the fear of some patients who are afraid to urinate because of surgical wound pain, for example, analgesic drugs can be given to relieve pain. Drink water + correct urinary posture: 6 hours after hemorrhoid surgery, patients should drink more plain water, use a semi-squatting or standing position to urinate, along with listening to the sound of running water to promote the urinary reflex, and if necessary, place a hot water bag on the bladder area and press the bag to promote urination or adjust the posture to speed up urination. Drink more water: For urination disorders caused by weak contraction of the bladder sphincter, you should take care of the cause, such as reducing bladder pressure and using medication as prescribed by the doctor. Cisapride tablets can be used to promote smooth muscle contraction and act on the intermuscular plexus of the bladder to promote the physiological release of acetylcholine, which promotes bladder contraction and improves bladder muscle weakness thus facilitating urination. Placement of catheter Placement of catheter: If you still cannot urinate smoothly after the above care, you need to place a catheter and perform urinary drainage every 2h, do a good job of perineal care, and patients should also perform bladder training under the guidance of a doctor to avoid urinary tract infection. This is the legendary hair-trigger bar! So we all say, make a fuss, don’t joke about the disease, once the anal discomfort, blood in the stool and other abnormalities, promptly seek medical attention, don’t delay to the point that, have to move the knife!
