Amblyopia is a common disease in ophthalmology, which usually develops during the critical period of vision development, because the retina does not receive enough light stimulation, so low vision is formed, and the vision cannot be restored to normal by wearing glasses. Amblyopia is classified according to its etiology and can be divided into the following four types: First, strabismic amblyopia, which is mainly due to the presence of strabismus in the eye, especially monocular strabismus, leading to the occurrence of amblyopia. Second, refractive amblyopia, which is caused by a large difference in refractive power between the two eyes. Third, refractive amblyopia refers to the presence of high hyperopia or high astigmatism in the eyes. Fourth, form deprivation amblyopia, which is usually accompanied by congenital cataract and corneal clouding.
