The decrease of white blood cell mostly starts 5-7 days after the chemotherapy is stopped, and the blood routine should be monitored until it reaches the lowest point around 10 days, and it will be maintained at the low level for 2-3 days, then it will start to rise again, and it will take 5-7 days to return to normal. Oral medication may be given, or granulocyte colony-stimulating factor may be injected subcutaneously to raise white blood cells. If there is significant fever, prompt medical attention is required and antibiotic therapy is given if necessary.
