CT manifestations of intestinal adhesions

There is fatty tissue separating the normal intestinal wall. If the fatty gap around the intestinal wall disappears and the intestinal tube adheres to other tissues or other intestinal tubes, it is called intestinal adhesions. Intestinal adhesions can be seen on CT as a mass-like entanglement of all the intestinal tubes. If fluid or blood accumulation in the abdominal cavity has inflammatory stimulation to the peritoneum, poor absorption can form chronic inflammation leading to intestinal adhesions, such as adhesions more serious can lead to intestinal obstruction, then the CT can see the obvious dilatation of the intestine above the obstruction site signs. If inflammation occurs in the intestinal wall of the intestinal adhesions, the thickening and enhancement along the intestinal wall can be observed by contrast enhancement.
