Small molecule drugs are currently a hot topic in the treatment of hepatitis C. Domestic small molecule drugs are not yet available, and many patients go to India to buy drugs, which poses certain safety risks for some patients: 1. Currently, long-acting interferon plus ribavirin therapy is still the guideline-recommended treatment standard, which can achieve 80% sustained viral response (SVR). 2, small molecule drugs are still in the validation stage in China, and their specific SVR rates, relapse rates and incidence of adverse reactions are not well known. 3, small molecule drugs have certain contraindications with other drugs, so patients must communicate clearly with clinicians when using self-purchased small molecule drugs to avoid the occurrence of some adverse events. 4, the current view is that other small molecule drugs are not suitable for treatment alone and still need diphtheria or even triple therapy. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with hepatitis C should not try them blindly while they are eager to be treated.
