I. Dietary attention.
1, diet as far as possible to use natural and organic cultivation of fresh ingredients made of meals. Nutrients can be supplemented: such as protein, unsaturated fatty acids, lecithin, vitamins, calcium and magnesium, coenzyme Q10, etc.
2, daily intake of 50-80 grams of protein: eat more food rich in vegetable protein, such as beans, egg whites, cereals, nuts, etc.
3, it is recommended to try to use foods rich in unsaturated fatty acids and pay attention to a balanced diet. Daily intake of 20-50 grams (4-10 teaspoons) of high-quality cooking oil, olive oil, peanut oil, soybean oil, flaxseed oil, etc. Daily intake of moderate amount of fish oil can have an improvement effect on MS. Reduce the intake of animal fats, etc.
4, eat more vitamin-rich foods, especially vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid: animal liver, lean meat, fish, milk, eggs, beans, nuts.
5.Take vitamin D orally in moderate amounts in winter. eat more foods rich in vitamin D – cod liver oil, fish, fish eggs, milk, egg yolk, mushrooms, shrimp, etc.
6.Minimize the consumption of sugar, coffee, salt, overly seasoned foods, and spicy, processed, canned, or frozen foods.
7, reduce refined food.
8, reduce the intake of chocolate, ice cream and other sweet foods.
9, more intake of fiber-rich food.
Second, daily protective health measures
1.Prevent colds and flu: regular work and rest, avoid contact with infected people, reasonable diet, moderate increase of time in the sun
2, avoid exertion: overload exercise not only affects body temperature, body fluid pH, but also causes physiological disorders of nerve conduction, and may also affect the immune system through the central nervous system
3, avoid high temperature: body temperature increases due to the impact of nerve conduction, so avoid prolonged exposure to high temperature environment, including prolonged exposure to the sun, avoid sauna, hot springs, etc.
Three, exercise and work
Regular moderate exercise is beneficial to both physical and mental health. Light to moderate exercise is recommended, for example: brisk walking, jogging, cycling, yoga, tai chi, and some aerobic exercise according to current physical condition. Consistent tai chi may be helpful in boosting your own immunoglobulin levels.
Work according to your ability and adjust your work to your condition without giving up work. MS patients need more rest and allocate work as flexibly as possible; try to avoid long, high-intensity, overworked work and business trips.
IV. Fertility
Multiple sclerosis does not affect the fertility of men and women, nor does it affect the ability of women to become pregnant. The relapse rate of women with multiple sclerosis is significantly reduced during pregnancy. Women who are being treated for MS should consult a neurologist or obstetrician/gynecologist once they decide to conceive.
Women of childbearing age should preferably choose to become pregnant during a stable period; if the patient is in a critical period of treatment, treatment should be continued and pregnancy should be postponed until the treatment is completed and an appropriate time is chosen to become pregnant; during pregnancy, treatment should be temporarily stopped or postponed. Immediately after delivery, a neurologist needs to be consulted to resume treatment as soon as possible.
