E.R. is a viral infection of human herpes virus type 6 that occurs in babies under 2 years of age, especially from 6 months to 1 year of age. E.R. can occur throughout the year, mostly in the spring and fall, with no gender differences. The clinical features of E.R. are high fever and a skin rash. How many days does it take for the rash to go away? The duration of fever is usually 3 to 5 days, and the temperature is often as high as 38℃-39℃, or as high as 40℃ in some cases, but the mental state is generally good and the appetite is usually not affected. The rash is characterized by a feverish rash, which usually appears 12 to 24 hours after the temperature drops. The rash is a small, dense, rose-red papular rash, distributed on the head, face, neck, trunk and extremities, which usually comes out in 24 hours and begins to fade the next day, lasting 3 to 4 days. The rash does not flake or leave any pigmentation after it subsides, so parents need not worry too much. The prognosis is good. If the body temperature is too high, you can target physical cooling or apply antipyretic drugs, give light and easy-to-digest liquid food, do not eat food with high protein during the rash period, let the baby drink more water to replenish the water lost through excessive sweating, and keep the room quiet and the air fresh. Carefully take care of your baby and accompany him/her through the rash period safely.
