Nasopharyngeal cancer mainly refers to nasopharyngeal cancer. The survival of patients is related to the clinical stage, pathological typing and treatment effectiveness of cancer, etc. Early detection and early treatment can even achieve clinical cure.
The clinical stage of nasopharyngeal cancer is I-IV. The 5-year survival rate of patients with stage I-II nasopharyngeal cancer can reach more than 80% through effective and reasonable radiotherapy. stage III-IV is the advanced stage of nasopharyngeal cancer, and the 5-year survival rate is lower than that of patients with early stage nasopharyngeal cancer. The pathological staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma includes squamous carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma. Undifferentiated carcinoma has higher malignancy and lower 5-year survival rate. In addition, some patients are more sensitive to radiotherapy and have better treatment effect, with higher 5-year survival rate than those with lower sensitivity.
All cancers should be detected, diagnosed and treated early in order to obtain a more frequent survival or even clinical cure.
