Minimally invasive concept changes traditional surgical methods

Minimally invasive spine surgery technology has become a bridge from invasive to non-invasive surgery, bringing spine surgery into a whole new realm, and the development of minimally invasive spine surgery in the 21st century is promising. In order to meet the development trend of spine surgery, Prof. Fu Qin, Director of the Department of Orthopaedics, has set a strategic goal to develop minimally invasive spine surgery in our hospital. At present, our department has applied Medtronic’s MAST QUADRANT minimally invasive spine operating system and CD HORIZON SEXTANT percutaneous puncture minimally invasive spinal internal fixation system to successfully perform surgery for a number of patients with severe back and leg pain, with excellent surgical results. Compared with traditional open surgery, minimally invasive techniques have the advantages of easy operation, less trauma, less bleeding, less side injuries, fewer complications and faster recovery, making patients more receptive to minimally invasive surgical treatment. The successful completion of minimally invasive spine surgery at our hospital has brought a blessing to our patients and is bound to lead to the flourishing development of minimally invasive spine surgery at our hospital.
