If the patient’s blood pressure is not normally high, taking antihypertensive drugs may lead to a drop in blood pressure, causing dizziness, shock, hypotension, and rapid heart rate, which may endanger the patient’s life in severe cases. So if there is no hypertension do not take antihypertensive drugs, which can produce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events. Normal human blood pressure is in the normal range of 90-140 mmHg systolic and 60-90 mmHg diastolic, once above this range is a state of hypertension; and below this range is a state of hypotension. If you cannot strictly grasp the status of your blood pressure, you should retest 2-3 times a day to unify the management so as to determine whether you have hypertension.
