Can endometrial hyperplasia heal on its own?

Endometrial hyperplasia does not heal on its own. Simple endometrial hyperplasia is a benign lesion, while if combined with atypical endometrial hyperplasia, it has a certain tendency to become cancerous and must be treated if it occurs. The vast majority of endometrial hyperplasia is a reversible lesion, but only in a few cases does it become cancerous after a longer period of time. Patients with endometrial hyperplasia must be treated promptly because it is not self-healing and may develop into endometrial lesions or endometrial cancer if treatment is delayed. Since abnormal hormone levels in women are the main cause of endometrial hyperplasia, endocrine function of women is often regulated clinically by taking hormonal drugs to improve the continuous proliferation of endometrium and prevent the occurrence of lesions. Patients with endometrial hyperplasia and menstrual irregularities are advised to seek timely treatment at a hospital.
