Abstract: In recent years, patients with heat-embedded blood stasis type of cardiac diseases are becoming more and more common. The author has achieved good results in the treatment of severe heat-embedded blood stasis type of cardiac diseases (coronary heart failure and unstable angina pectoris in coronary heart disease) with the addition and reduction of gardenia seed rhubarb soup (changing heliotrope to heliotrope shell, adding orris, cyperus, and safflower) as described in “The Fifteenth Book of the Jin Kao Yao – Pulse Evidence of Jaundice”, and cited experimental cases. It is also believed that TCM treatment should not be confined to the western diagnosis of the disease, but the key is to identify the formula and evidence, and only when the formula and evidence are corresponding can the effect be as rafter.
