Most of the anterior uterine tilt is not harmful, the position of the uterus is divided into anterior, median and posterior. The uterus is located in the middle of the pelvis, with the bladder in front and the rectum in the back. Most of the uterus positions are anterior, that is, the uterus is tilted forward, which is a normal uterine position, conducive to the discharge of menstrual blood, and usually does not lead to disease and does not require special treatment. If it is due to inflammation that causes adhesions between the uterus and the surrounding tissues such as pelvic inflammatory disease, thus presenting an anteriorly inclined uterus, the inflammation needs to be treated, otherwise it may affect the woman’s conception. An anteriorly inclined uterus with fibroids in the anterior wall can sometimes cause symptoms of pressure, when pressing on the bladder, it can cause symptoms such as frequent and urgent urination. If the fibroids are large and fertility is required, uterine fibroid removal is often necessary. If fertility preservation is not required, total hysterectomy may be an option. The position of the uterus is maintained by the ligaments, and if the ligaments are loose, the position of the uterus can change. In women who have given birth, the position of the uterus can be changed after a normal birth or a cesarean section, which may cause an anterior tilt of the uterus. If there are no symptoms that cause discomfort, no special treatment is needed. If a woman has an excessively anterior tilted uterus, she needs to be treated promptly to avoid affecting conception. In addition, excessive anterior tilting of the uterus may cause uterine perforation due to improper operation during abortion or uterine evacuation, but the probability is low, so don’t worry too much.
