Hematuria of hepatocellular carcinoma may be caused by metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma to kidneys, coagulation dysfunction, urinary system infection and so on. Medications can be administered as prescribed by doctors. 1. Liver cancer metastasized to kidneys: liver cancer metastasized to kidneys and invasion of kidneys can lead to hematuria. Metastasis of liver cancer to kidney belongs to advanced stage of liver cancer, and palliative radiotherapy and chemotherapy (such as cisplatin, fluorouracil, etc.) or targeted drugs such as sorafenib can be taken to control the condition as prescribed by doctor. 2. Coagulation dysfunction: liver is the main organ to synthesize coagulation factors, liver cancer patients’ liver function is damaged, resulting in the reduction of synthesized coagulation factors, and patients have the tendency of spontaneous bleeding, and spontaneous bleeding in the urinary system can be manifested as hematuria. Coagulation factors can be supplemented intravenously, and at the same time, thrombinogen complex, vitamin K and other hemostatic drugs can be used as prescribed by doctors. 3. Urinary system infection: As the resistance of liver cancer patients is low, the urinary system is easy to be invaded by bacteria, resulting in urinary system infection, and the inflammation stimulates the mucous membrane of ureter, bladder and urethra, causing bleeding and thus hematuria. Antibiotics such as levofloxacin can be used as prescribed by doctor. There are other causes of hematuria in liver cancer, such as kidney stones, bladder stones, etc. Patients should go to hospital in time to improve the examination and give targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease.
