Pulmonary fibrosis rehabilitation breathing exercises

Pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic lung disease characterized by progressive fibrotic damage with rapid progression and poor prognosis, with an average life expectancy of 3-5 years after diagnosis. Its treatment remains a difficult clinical problem. There are several clinical treatments for pulmonary fibrosis, the first being lung transplantation; the second being oxygenation and long-term oxygen therapy; and the third being anti-pulmonary fibrosis treatment with pirfenidone under medical supervision. In addition to medication and oxygen, patients should also insist on proper respiratory function exercises every day to expand the lungs as much as possible through deep breathing movements to slow down the reduced ability of lung expansion and decreased respiratory function due to pulmonary fibrosis. The breathing exercises for pulmonary fibrosis rehabilitation in the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital are specially designed for pulmonary fibrosis patients by Director Li Huiping. The principles of breathing exercises are: act according to your ability, stop when you can, do not force; step by step, not tired as degree. Interested patients can contact me or visit my clinic.
