The normal recovery of cavernous tuberculosis in a few months is mainly related to the specific type, severity and individual patient’s condition, which should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis and not generalized. Tuberculosis cavities can be divided into thin-walled cavities, thick-walled cavities, and tension cavities. Depending on the size of the cavity, the thickness of the cavity wall, and the effect of anti-tuberculosis medication, the duration of cavity closure varies. For primary treatment of tuberculosis, if the cavity is small and thin-walled early, it can be gradually absorbed and closed in 1-2 months after active anti-tuberculosis treatment. In addition, if the tuberculosis cavity is large, the lung tissue is severely damaged, or if it is combined with diabetes, it usually takes a longer time to heal, or even stops shrinking after treatment to a certain extent, and the specific recovery time varies from person to person. Patients with TB are advised to go to a regular TB hospital and receive a comprehensive assessment by a doctor before being given the best anti-TB treatment plan.
