There are no studies that show that fumigation with boiled water from poplar twigs can treat hemorrhoids. For hemorrhoids, asymptomatic hemorrhoids do not require treatment, while symptomatic hemorrhoids can be treated either conservatively or surgically. Symptomatic hemorrhoids are first reduced or eliminated and are treated primarily with non-surgical treatments. General treatment includes changing diet and poor bowel habits, avoiding spicy and irritating foods, and keeping the bowels clear; warm water sitz baths, such as 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution; and applying topical anti-swelling and pain relief creams, such as musk hemorrhoid cream and bear bile hemorrhoid cream, and so on. Other non-surgical treatments include sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation, Doppler ultrasound-guided arterial ligation, and so on. For internal hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids, the surgical methods that can be taken include hemorrhoidal simple excision and anastomotic suprahemorrhoidal mucosal cricothyrotomy; for external hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoidal stripping can be taken, and so on. If you have hemorrhoids and experience perianal discomfort, it is recommended that you go to a regular hospital for an early examination to determine the cause of the disease and reasonable treatment. Do not listen to rumors, to avoid delaying the condition, triggering adverse consequences.
