Heatstroke usually does not cause a runny nose. Heat stroke mainly affects the thermoregulatory system and the central nervous system, and usually results in fever, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, coma. However, if heatstroke patients subsequently develop symptoms of runny nose, they should consider whether upper respiratory tract infections caused by entering colder spaces and getting cold after heatstroke, in which case there will be upper respiratory tract symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, dry throat and sore throat. Therefore, heatstroke patients should be removed from the hot environment as soon as possible, timely rehydration, while avoiding cold.
