Is it dangerous to have a blood pressure as high as 176 mmHg?

A high blood pressure of 176 mmHg is within the range of secondary hypertension and is therefore dangerous. When the blood pressure reaches 176 mmHg, it is recommended to go to the hospital to get a clear diagnosis of the blood pressure, and to try to identify the cause of the increase in blood pressure, and to treat the cause in order to best reduce the blood pressure to the optimal range. If the high pressure increases to 176 mmHg, hypertensive crisis or even hypertensive encephalopathy may occur, so it is recommended to check the CT, MRI and ECG of the head and monitor the blood pressure, ECG, pulse rate and oxygen saturation. The patient should be monitored for blood pressure, ECG, pulse rate, and oxygen saturation, and the blood pressure should be lowered to normal by medications, such as calcium antagonists and ACEI, so that the patient can be removed from danger as soon as possible.
