How to treat anemic heart disease

Anemic heart disease mainly refers to various causes of anemia, i.e., hemoglobin below 70 grams per liter, along with increased cardiac output, heart enlargement or cardiac insufficiency. The treatment of anemic heart disease is mainly divided into the following aspects: first, the treatment of the cause of the disease, mainly for the cause of anemia treatment, the patient because of iron deficiency? Is the patient suffering from iron deficiency, folic acid deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency or chronic anemia? Whether the patient is suffering from iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency, or long-term chronic blood loss, the main treatment should be directed at the cause of the disease. Second, blood transfusion. For patients with severe anemia, it is recommended to transfuse small amounts of blood several times, or input concentrated red blood cell suspension. Third, the application of cardiac glycoside drugs, because anemic heart disease belongs to high-volume heart failure, so cardiac agents like digitalis and non-digitalis positive inotropic drugs, the efficacy is poor, only when diuretics, vasodilators and appropriate small amounts of multiple transfusions are ineffective. It is generally advisable to use small doses because of the long-term hypoxia, the myocardium is more sensitive to digitalis-like positive drugs, and overdose or toxicity is easy to occur clinically.
