The fracture line usually takes 8-12 weeks to disappear, as follows: First, simple fractures, most of which are not significantly displaced and can be easily kept stable after manual repositioning. For these fractures, the healing time of the fracture line is usually about eight weeks. Second, comminuted fractures are more complex fractures and are unstable fractures, and the fracture line disappearance time will be extended accordingly, usually up to about 12 weeks. The time for the fracture line to disappear can vary significantly between the above two types of fractures, mainly related to the stability of the fracture end and the blood supply to the fracture end. If the fracture is stable and the blood supply is abundant, the fracture line disappearance time will be significantly shortened; otherwise, the fracture line disappearance time will be correspondingly prolonged, and serious consequences such as delayed fracture healing or even non-healing of the fracture may occur.
