How is Hashimoto’s thyroiditis treated?

How to treat Hashimoto’s disease Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, also known as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis or Hashimoto’s disease, is an autoimmune disease, the most common type of thyroiditis, which is most often seen in middle-aged women, often with a family history of thyroid disorders, and is the most common cause of low thyroid. Treatment principles 1. Regular follow-up for asymptomatic people, no treatment required. 2.Thyroid hormone replacement therapy. 3.Adrenal corticosteroid. 4.Surgery. 5.Symptomatic and supportive treatment. If the thyroid gland grows rapidly with obvious pressure symptoms, fever, thyroid pain or infiltrative proptosis, adrenocorticotropic hormone can be used, but the dose and course of treatment should not be too large or too long. Surgery and radioactive iodine treatment can accelerate the occurrence and development of hypothyroidism and are generally contraindicated. When there are obvious symptoms of compression or suspected cancer, surgery can be used to explore the thyroid gland. Long-term replacement therapy with thyroid hormone is used after surgery.
