Interventional ultrasound is an emerging method of disease diagnosis and treatment with the development of medical technology. Its main feature is to complete the operations of puncture biopsy, aspiration, intubation and drug injection treatment of various tissue parts under the real-time monitoring or guidance of ultrasound, which has the advantages of being simple, easy to perform and minimally invasive, and to a certain extent, can achieve diagnostic and therapeutic effects comparable to those of surgical operations. Since March 2008, the ultrasound department of our hospital, with the strong support from the general surgery department, nephrology department and other related clinical departments, has carried out interventional ultrasound, which has been well received by the relevant clinical departments and patients. 177 patients have been diagnosed and treated with ultrasound guidance in our ultrasound department so far, including 68 cases of kidney biopsy, 52 cases of liver abscess placement and drainage, 15 cases of lymph node puncture biopsy, liver and kidney There were 42 cases of cyst puncture and sclerotherapy and pelvic cyst and abscess puncture and drainage. Ultrasound-guided renal biopsy has accurate positioning, simple and convenient operation, minimizes various complications of renal puncture biopsy and improves the success rate of puncture biopsy, and so far there has been no failure and no serious complications in the patients with ultrasound-guided renal biopsy performed in the ultrasound department of our hospital. Ultrasound-guided puncture treatment of liver cysts, kidney cysts, pancreatic pseudocysts and pelvic cysts has obvious advantages. The fine needle puncture under ultrasound guidance directly reaches the lesion and aspirates the cyst fluid or injects drugs, causing the cyst to disappear and shrink rapidly and relieving the patient’s pain quickly, thus achieving an immediate therapeutic effect. Patients do not need special preparation before treatment, and outpatient treatment is sufficient for those whose condition permits, while some need to be hospitalized. A patient with multiple renal cysts, who was suffering from abdominal distension, restlessness and reduced quality of life, the largest of which was about 180×104mm, had 2500ml of cyst fluid aspirated during the treatment, and the cysts disappeared immediately. A patient with intestinal cancer in the Department of Oncology, after surgery, the tumor metastasized to the ovary to form a huge cystic mass, the patient’s lower abdomen bulged as if she was pregnant in May, abdominal distension was unbearable, the abdominal wall was cracked, she slept in a semi-recumbent position, her quality of life was extremely poor, she was pessimistic and could not be treated surgically. The patient’s pain was quickly relieved, and he was very grateful and praised with hot tears: “Excellent medical skills, wonderful hands! It was very gratifying to see the patient’s pain relieved by our treatment. For patients with liver abscess, the effect of purely internal anti-inflammatory treatment is not ideal, and surgical operation is traumatic and has many postoperative complications, but the ultrasound-guided abscess puncture and irrigation with tube drainage carried out by the ultrasound department of our hospital has achieved very good therapeutic effect, and has successfully treated 52 patients, which has obviously shortened the hospitalization time and reduced the pain of patients! A patient with appendiceal abscess, who could not be treated in several municipal hospitals due to the high risk, was transferred to the ninth ward of general surgery of our hospital, and after careful consultation between general surgery and ultrasound department, it was decided to perform appendiceal abscess puncture and flushing and drainage, and 500ml of straw-yellow pus was extracted, and the temperature dropped to normal on the day after drainage, which relieved the patient’s symptoms of high fever and abdominal pain all the time and avoided open surgery. The patient highly affirmed this treatment measure and expressed his gratitude to our hospital for its patient-oriented and highly responsible attitude! Interventional ultrasound as an emerging minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic method has high clinical application value and is favored by clinicians and patients because of its characteristics of small damage, good effect, fast recovery and low cost, providing a good technical platform for the diagnosis and treatment of clinical diseases.
