In the early stage of the disease, the degree of ectropion is mild or in adolescent patients, conservative treatment is available, with attention to wearing shoes with loose and comfortable heads, avoiding local extrusion, putting soft pads in the shoes or using elastic bands to fix the lesser toes of both feet and pulling them in opposite directions, and taking oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs in case of obvious local pain; patients with ineffective conservative treatment need timely surgical correction without time limit, but adolescent patients should undergo surgery at the age of 18 when the epiphysis is mature.
