Is it normal for babies to snore?

Snoring in infants is usually abnormal. Under normal circumstances, infants should sleep quietly and will not snore. Infant snoring may be caused by too much nasal secretion, obesity or diseases. 1. Too much nasal secretion: infants can not clean up nasal secretion by themselves, when nasal secretion is too much, it will form a blockage in the nasal cavity, which will affect the breathing, and thus the symptoms of snoring will appear, generally the symptoms will be relieved after the nasal secretion is taken out. 2. Obesity: if the baby is obese, the fat of nasal mucosa will become thicker, which will also affect the nasal ventilation and snoring. 3. Disease factors (1) Cold will cause nasal mucosa congestion, and also cause a large amount of secretion, causing nasal congestion, affecting nasal ventilation and snoring. (2) Nasal polyps or deviated nasal septum will affect nasal ventilation and snoring will occur. (3) When babies play with small toys or accidentally get some foreign objects into the nasal cavity, the breathing will be affected and snoring will occur. If there is no obvious abnormal symptom, it is recommended to go to the hospital for medical treatment and correct treatment.
