If the child has physiological jaundice, follow-up review is recommended to closely monitor the bilirubin situation. If the jaundice is pathological, further clarification is recommended to improve abdominal ultrasound or CT and liver function tests. The principle is to increase the baby’s own immunity and make the baby exercise more, which in turn can promote the excretion of bilirubin. It should be noted that for pathological jaundice, i.e., jaundice caused by hemolytic disease in newborns due to blood type incompatibility between mother and baby, the bath is not useful and can be treated with blood exchange therapy.
