Low menstrual flow but more than 10 days

If the patient usually has a very regular period and just once the patient has a low menstrual flow and it does not clear for 10 days, the focus should be on the bleeding due to an abnormal pregnancy. Blood chorionic gonadotropin and ultrasound must be checked to determine if there is a pre-eclampsia or ectopic pregnancy, and any abnormalities must be treated promptly. If the patient usually has very little menstruation and it takes 10 days to clear, there are two main reasons to consider. First, endocrine disorders, such as luteal insufficiency, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc.. This needs to be checked for sex hormone six and thyroid function to determine. Second, the main consideration is organic lesions, such as endometrial polyps, cervical polyps, endometrial fibroids, adenomyosis or cervical fibroids, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc. Gynecological internal examination, hysteroscopy and gynecological ultrasound are needed to identify them.
