How to solve the baby cough in the end?

Patient: Description of condition (onset, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): The child is 1 year and 9 months old, had a cough 20 days ago, hooked up to an IV for a few days, basically got better and was discharged, then had another cough, this time with a fever of up to 39.4 degrees. Later, 6 days ago, he was hooked up to an azithromycin drip, and now (today) he has changed to erythromycin. From the results of the treatment in the past few days, the cough remains, the child has difficulty coughing and is also often accompanied by vomiting. The first cough was discharged from the hospital after 6 days, and the child was basically well, but a few days later there was a sweeping phenomenon with vomiting. I see many children with coughs (who consult) who take 10 days to get better and even are skeptical about the treatment. How can children’s coughs be solved better, or what is a better solution! Expert: First of all, let me say that seeing a doctor is actually a rather demanding discipline that requires you to provide a very detailed medical history, physical examination and relevant necessary laboratory results, the latter two of which must also be as accurate as possible in order to make a more reliable judgment. The presence of infection (and related pathogens), the condition of immune function, the presence of allergic factors, the presence of malformations of the respiratory system itself, etc. need to be noted, and the relevant laboratory tests available are often imperfect (and even still have many deficiencies). Therefore, medicine is often a combination of science and art, and very much requires the doctor’s experience and even intuition.
