X ray of clubfoot

  Horseshoe clubfoot (congenitaltalipesequinovarus) is one of the most common foot deformities, which is present at birth. This disease has a genetic factor, and the formation of clubfoot is mainly due to the imbalance of the muscles of the foot, and the imbalance of the muscles forms a bone and joint deformity over time, and the deformity is more serious due to weight bearing on the basis of the deformity.  X-ray examination is an objective evaluation for the diagnosis of the degree of clubfoot deformity and treatment efficacy. anteroposterior and extreme dorsal extension lateral views of the foot are taken and compared bilaterally. The navicular bone is wedge-shaped, and the foot is turned inward and horseshoe-shaped. The arch of the foot is depressed and the metatarsals are close to each other. The fifth metatarsal is enlarged and the first metatarsal is atrophied.
