Screening for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

The examination of nasopharyngeal cancer currently includes several means such as nasopharyngoscopy, puncture, serum test, CT and nuclear magnetic, which can accurately diagnose nasopharyngeal cancer. If patients are suspected of having nasopharyngeal cancer, they should go to hospital to receive nasopharyngeal cancer examination in time to confirm the diagnosis as early as possible to facilitate treatment. Specific examination items are as follows: 1. Nasopharyngeal fiberscopy: importing from the nasopharynx can comprehensively and carefully observe the nasopharynx, which can be photographed, videotaped and biopsied, and is the most effective modern tool for examining the nasopharynx; 2. Examination: If the lymph nodes on the side of the neck are enlarged and hard, puncture smear examination of cervical lymph nodes should be performed. If there is no obvious suspicious lesion in the nasopharynx, lymph node removal biopsy should be considered; 4.CT examination: CT examination can not only show the changes of superficial structure of nasopharynx, but also show the infiltration of nasopharyngeal cancer into the surrounding structures and parapharyngeal space. Other examinations: such as B-ultrasound, MRI and nasopharyngeal exfoliative cytology, etc. should be selected according to the patient’s condition.
