I broke my foot, what should I do!

A broken foot, called “ankle sprain” in medical terminology, is a traumatic injury in which the muscles or ligaments are stretched because the external force is too heavy and the ankle exceeds the proper range of force, resulting in tearing pain and swelling. It is because of the internal bleeding caused by the pulling, thus forming a hematoma, so the broken foot can only gradually recover in about 24 hours, remember not to immediately hot compress and massage, which will only aggravate the swelling. So how do we do is the right thing to do? 1, check the injury often sports you must have more knowledge of these, but after the broken foot or to pay attention to observe, they are minor broken foot (soft tissue injury) or more serious ankle bone fracture. If there is a fracture, you must go to the hospital as soon as possible and ask for a doctor’s consultation. If you delay treatment or make a mistake in your own judgment, it can cause serious consequences, so distinguishing your injury is the first, the key, the focus. How can you tell if you have a fracture? When there is: inability to stand, sound from the ankle when sprained, pressure pain point on the outer ankle or on the high protruding bone in the middle of the outer foot surface, any of these three points, I regret to inform you that this is a serious injury situation, please make sure to seek medical attention immediately. 2. Hot or cold compress? When you break your foot, the blood vessel is burst, so you must apply cold compress immediately. Only when the internal bleeding has stopped, you can use alternating hot and cold methods to reduce the swelling of the injury. And usually only in 24 hours, we can ensure that the internal no longer bleeding. 3.Pressure Within 24 hours after the broken foot, if you have a slight broken foot, you can use massage to eliminate the swelling and pain for yourself. In the place of hematoma, use the palm of your hand to press on the local area, force as long as the pain can be tolerated, and continue to press for 2 to 3 minutes, in order to be regular, repeat the pressure can be. Press five times for a course of treatment, 3 to 5 times a day can be done. 4.Recovery A few days after the broken foot, it is best to lift the injured foot high to help blood flow, and pay attention to no strenuous exercise, until the broken foot tends to stabilize, then you can walk and other active foot activities. During the recovery period, remember not to turn the ankle in the direction that caused the pain, as this will only aggravate the condition and lengthen the recovery time.
