How to treat chicken pox in children

Varicella is an acute infectious disease caused by the varicella zoster virus, which is highly contagious, mostly in preschool children. The main source of infection is the patient with chickenpox. It is contagious from 1 to 2 days before the rash to one week after the rash. The disease has no special treatment, mainly general treatment and symptomatic treatment, the child is easy to early antiviral treatment with adenosine or acyclic guanosine. Alternatively, the addition of interferon can inhibit the replication of the virus, and in case of secondary bacterial infection, an effective antimicrobial agent can be used. At the same time, skin care should be strengthened to prevent herpes from breaking down and secondary infection. If the skin is itchy, you can use glyburide lotion, or take oral antihistamines, or apply gentian violet or neomycin ointment if the rash has broken down. Hormones are generally prohibited. If the body temperature is too high, physical cooling can be given. The child should be isolated from the respiratory tract, rest in bed, ventilate the room, give a nutritious, easily digestible liquid or semi-liquid diet, and refrain from eating stimulating foods, warm and hairy foods and drugs during the illness. If the child still has a fever or a high fever that does not go away, take the child to the hospital immediately for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
