How long can you live with breast cancer?

The survival time of breast cancer patients is determined according to disease stage, pathological type and treatment. Breast cancer is a common clinical malignant tumor, which can be divided into stage I, II, III and IV according to TNM staging criteria. Stage I is the early stage, where the tumor is small and metastasis has not yet appeared, and the prognosis is better after timely surgery, and patients have a longer survival time, even 10-20 years. The survival time is closely related to the number of lymphatic metastases, pathological type and treatment. The fewer the number of metastases, the better the pathological type and the more timely the treatment, the longer the survival time of patients. Stage IV is the late stage, most of the patients have already developed distant metastases from other organs, and the disease is more serious at this time, treatment is mostly symptomatic, and survival time is only about 1 year. Therefore, it is recommended that women over the age of 40 undergo annual breast checkups to achieve early detection and early treatment.
