The patient refused to use them because of her reproductive needs. After treatment with antihypertensive and diet control programs, the patient did not see a significant decrease in urinary protein, so she was referred to our hospital. On the first visit, the patient’s symptoms were: weakness, lumbar pain, hand trembling at times, nasal function, sleep, bowel movement, and moderate concave edema of both lower limbs. The tongue is pale with white coating and the pulse is floating. The diagnosis of TCM is spleen-kidney qi deficiency with rheumatism. The treatment is to strengthen the spleen and promote dampness, the formula is selected from Fangji Fu Ling Tang plus reduction, the specific drugs are as follows raw Astragalus, Radix Codonopsis, Atractylodes, Fu Ling, Han Fangji, Gui Zhi, raw Coix seeds, Su Ye, lotus leaf, Cicada Clover, Sequoia, Semen Cuscutae. After taking the above treatment for 10 days, the patient’s edema improved and the back pain was significantly reduced. The protein in the urine was not significantly reduced on re-examination. In January 2013, the urine protein decreased to below 1g/d. In February 2013, the main symptoms were: weakness, lumbago, no obvious edema in both lower limbs, complained of depressed mood, can, poor sleep, poor bowel movement, irregular menstruation, low volume and dull color. The tongue is light red with thin yellow coating and the pulse is floating and stringent. The formula was adjusted by combining Fangji Huangqi Tang with Danjian Yiyao San. After the above formula was added and reduced with the evidence for more than 6 months, the patient’s 24-hour urine protein quantification was 0.118g, plasma albumin 41g/L, and blood creatinine 85μmol/L.
