What’s the difference between a lipoma and a fibroid tumor to the touch?

Compared with fibroma, lipoma is soft to the touch and irregular in shape, while the latter is hard to the touch and mostly round in shape. Lipoma, as the name suggests, is an abnormal proliferation of adipose tissue, mainly composed of adipose tissue, so it is soft to the touch; and lipoma usually has no obvious envelope, so it is irregular in shape to the touch. Fibroma, on the other hand, is mainly composed of fibrous connective tissue, which is relatively harder than lipoma, and it is hard to touch, and it often has a complete envelope, and it is generally rounded to touch. In addition, although both of them are named as tumors, they are benign tumors, which generally do not cause any major damage to the body. If they do not cause local swelling, pain and other discomforts, they generally do not need any special treatment, and can be examined regularly. If the tumor is found to be significantly larger or local pressure, discomfort, should be elective surgical resection, and need to do pathological examination.
