Many women experience cyclic breast pain: swelling, tingling, soreness, even radiating to the upper arm, armpit, shoulder and back. This kind of pain is physiological and is not related to breast cancer. Non-cyclic breast pain, on the other hand, does not have any regularity and can occur at any time of the menstrual cycle, and the degree of pain varies constantly. It is now believed that those with atypical breast hyperplasia accompanied by intractable non-cyclical breast pain have a higher risk of breast cancer, and such patients must be vigilant. There are other pains: such as costochondritis, myofascial inflammation of the chest, cervical spondylosis, pleura and heart disease sometimes also present with chest discomfort that is mistaken for breast pain, which is usually not much related to breast cancer. In fact, the pain of common breast cancer is often seen in the following cases: breast cancer combined with breast hyperplasia, the pain is caused by breast hyperplasia; breast tumor compresses ducts and causes spasm, this pain is often electrocution-like and can disappear briefly; breast tumor invades chest wall, rib cage and compresses important nerves causing pain, which is mostly a manifestation of advanced breast cancer. As mentioned above, most breast pain is not directly related to breast cancer. Therefore, women should not panic when breast pain occurs, but should ask a specialist to check and confirm the diagnosis as soon as possible in order to exclude the lesion, if there is no special, it can generally improve after regulating mood, diet, sleep and other behaviors or using symptomatic medicine.
