An inflammatory infection of the cornea is called keratitis. Blurred vision after keratitis requires finding out the cause of the blurred vision. The initial stage of keratitis may be due to inflammatory edema causing blurred vision, when antibiotics and antiviral medications should be used to make the corneal edema go away as much as possible, as well as medications that quickly restore the corneal epithelium, such as Bevosol eye drops. If the blurred vision is caused by keratitis with long-term scarring or clouding, surgical treatment may be required. The type or form of corneal transplantation has to be decided according to the depth of the corneal scar or cloud opacity. If the scar or cloud healer is shallow, a superficial corneal transplantation is done without a full layer, and if the entire cornea forms a white spot, a full penetrating corneal transplantation is needed, which has higher surgical risks and serious rejection reactions.
