Aluminum oxide all-ceramic simulated aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth

The patient’s previous porcelain crowns resulted in redness and swelling of the gums, exposure of the metal edges, and staining of the gums, as far as poor edge-to-edge fit of the porcelain teeth despite the patient’s attention to oral hygiene. After removing the crowns, it was found that the abutment teeth were discolored and dark, and an aluminum oxide all-ceramic crown with good color shading ability was chosen for the restoration. Although the gingival staining caused by the porcelain crown was still present, it was a huge improvement over the previous situation.
